SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC APPRENTICE TRAINING

Dimondale, MI (January 15, 2003) Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) presents a Solar Photovoltaic Apprentice Training program on February 3-7, 2003 at NMC EESD, 1701 E. Front St., Traverse City, Michigan. The cost is $980.

This is a comprehensive professional training and certification program for photovoltaic system integrators and installers. The 5-day program combines classroom sessions with lab experience to provide the graduate with the experience and reference materials needed to advance a career in the distributed micro-generation profession. Class is presented by GLREA, a Michigan based nonprofit organization that provides education in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Since 1991, GLREA has been helping people throughout the region understand the benefits of using clean energy technology. Recognizing the growing need for educational programs, GLREA is playing a key role in fostering the public's awareness by providing Renewable Energy Educational Seminars, Demonstrations & Conferences; SolarSchools® for grades 4 - 8; Photovoltaic Installer Certification Training; Public Policy Education for citizens groups and legislators, and a Traveling Renewable Energy Display (TRED) at events.
